Masks will not prevent the spread of Streptococcus A as it is likely to colonise, I probably have a reservoir as I have a history of Strep throat, to suggest that our paediatric ITU will be overrun is irresponsible panic stirring.

The other major factor to consider is that Streptococcal infections are a spring time phenomenon and we have had a particularly mild autumn, so much so that garden plants started to bud as if it were spring.

Finally you failed to spot the massive error in the report from Sky, it doesn’t matter the price of amoxicillin as it is the wrong antibiotic to treat Streptococcus, it is phenoxymethylpenicillin that is used. Check your facts.
