NatCon Day 3: In their own words
Posobiec, Trump, Gorka, Wilson
Day 3 of NatCon.
Senator Banks says the GOP is the party of the working class.
Trump won with the votes of the working class, but its the billionaires who are benefiting most.
Jack Posobiec, Pizzagate conspiracy theorist, Turning Point UK, and with a track record of using white supremacist talking points.
Doug Wilson targets Muslims, however the Christian Nationalist has said that only Christians should be in positions of power. Just Christians, not Jews, however he is being nice for Hazony the NatCon organiser who said on the opening day he was shocked to find antisemitism on the Right wing.
Wilson thinks the state shouldn't interfere in the Church but has been quite open about his thoughts about the power Christianity should have over the state, but pointing this out would ruin his NatCon zinger about progressives worshiping the state.
NatCon had a lot of speakers praising tariffs.
Josh Hawley decided to attack transhumanists. Transhumanists believe in enhancing humans with technology, Musk’s grander claims of the future for Neurolink brain chips could be considered transhumanist, and Peter Thiel, who had a hand in launching NatCon, has various projects and companies exploring extending lifespans in his search for immortality.
Is Hawley criticising the tech bros?
There are sections of the radical right that has wrapped up trans people with transhumanists, but Hawley then goes on to warn about AI.
From what has emerged of the speeches from NatCon, Hawley going after the “tech barons” is one of the more interesting moments, and possibly demonstrates that without Trump as the focal point for all the vested interests to line up behind, the radical right coalition would fracture?
Steve Bannon and WW3.
Bannon targetted Mamdani, does he see him as a threat or is it just an opportunity to whip up fear of Muslims?
Nick Abbott on LBC radio's late night show in the UK has a Trump bingo card he made last year, one of the suggestions was hasn't been ticked off is that Trump would try to add his face to Mount Rushmore. If Trump decided he wanted this its likely the NatCon sycophants would support it.
Bannon was another speaker who decided to attack England/UK, there is a concerted effort to portray the UK as an authoritarian failed state. This is to create the impression that Trump’s extreme policies are essential to save the US to prevent it becoming like a European country which they claim is being taken over by Muslims.
This is also about trying to get Trump sycophant Nigel Farage into Downing Street.
Sebastian Gorka claimed that their is no ideology on the Right, only the truth. Its worth noting that Gorka appears fairly regularly on UK radio and these interviews often end with Gorka shouting over the interviewers and then hanging up when challenged on the truth of his claims.
Hazony closes NatCon with his nationalist take on the Torah's teachings of love thy neighbor.
So ends NatCon 5. There were many more speakers, and full speeches are starting to be uploaded. These are what the organisers believe are the highlights.
Its worth noting that panning out from the conference stage, NatCon is not a well attended event. It provides material for clips and articles online and brings members of the radical right together to help hold the coalition together.
